Bike Trip Maps

While in Estes Park, rent some bikes, take a bike ride and enjoy some of the amazing beauty our area offers.  It's not unusual to ride among grazing elk (it may be tempting, but do not approach them) dodge chipmunks and marmuts and if you are really lucky, catch sight of some big horn sheep.  Add the unsurpassed beauty of this place and whether you want a relaxing bike ride or a challenging road trip, you have the perfect bicycle outing.

Devils Gulch Loop

Devils Gulch is across hwy 34 from Lake Estes.  Devils Gulch and Estes Lake are often done together.  This is an easy path,  and although it is on a paved road, traffic is light to moderate and generally bike friendly.  You will pass Lumpy Ridge, a locally loved area for hiking and climbing.  Views of the range are exceptional from this road.

Marys Lake Loop

Marys Lake Loop circles around Estes Parks other lovely lake.  Also connecting to the Fish Creek Loop, these 2 can easily be done together.  A bit more challenging than Lake Estes, the beautiful views make the effort worth it.

Deer Ridge Loop

Deer Ridge Loop begins just outside downtown Estes Park and continues up into Rocky Mountain National Park.  A beautiful ride, it's a bit more challenging than Devils Gulch and Fish Creek.  Expect a bit of climbing but a great downhill ride coming back.

During June and July, expect more traffic on this ride unless its done early in the morning.
Length:  15 Miles     Difficulty:  Moderate/Difficult

Glen Haven Loop

Glen Haven Loop begins just outside town on either 34 or 43.  If you choose to go down 34 to Drake and then circle up 43 to return, be prepared for the steep switchbacks ahead of you.  You will definitely need one of Becky's cinnamon rolls or sandwiches (General Store in Glen Haven) before attacking those.
Length:  32 Miles     Difficulty:  Difficult/Expert
